My antiques to model

I have finally found my 3 objects! The vase, pendant and axe.

I imagine this would be rather fun to model. The patterns and texture looks rather difficult to replicate too, I was determined to have a go at this. Although I was advised not to attempt the animal heads.

This Axe peaked my interest as the curves and handle look so smooth and again, fun to model. I love to slender curve of the handle and the rounded, strange edges of the axe head. I also figured I should have a go at texturing something metal! See what I can do with the lighting on it too.

This really caught my eye, I love the indents and the top of the pendant. Again I saw this and thought, this looks like fun to model. Again its metal, which looks fun to create a texture for.

Antiques.

Regrettably i missed the first lesson, so i just had to look at the notes. I was however set a task to find some pictures of antiques, so that I could model one and recreate it in Maya.

Only one piece will do out of the ones that i selected though, it seems i'm a little over enthusiastic in what I think i can do. Especially the jaguar piece, would take alot of time and modeling experience to make properly. The part that caught my eye with this piece was the wear on it. I figured that, that would be a very interesting and challenging thing to portray on the textures. But i can still do this with the vase picture. It looks as though i will need to find some different pictures!
